Feasibility study "Borghi vivi"

2001

Coordination town-planning team.
The work was carried out by a group of practices (chosen by contest) that was charged with the study by the Monuments and Fine Arts Service of Pisa, Livorno, Lucca and Massa Carrara as leader among the various public institutions. It foresees the development of a strategic plan for Lunigiana (a region in northern Tuscany), with interventions for an amount of about 130 million euro; the working out of “pilot plans” for eleven centres and settlements, conceived as integrated projects of the various intervention levels and of the strategies pointed out in the plan; the drawing up of guidelines for a “Recovery Chart” as an instrument for the creation of municipal rules in the interventions on the historical building wealth and on open spaces.
