2008

The new planning instrument has been introduced by the Tuscany Regional Government in order to promote and coordinate both public and private interventions of urban recovery. Many of the collected projects for the centre of Massa have been drawn up, together with the Plan, by the practice itself. Among these, the most significant are:
- a 2 hectare public park in the area – now abandoned – of a Renaissance citrus garden;
- a system of escalators linking the city centre to the Malaspina Castle at the top of a hill;
- the renovation and the enlargement of the communal Market Hall, together with the improvement of the surrounding area.
